new vs old umnumzaan locking side

Hi guys I have a 2010 model umnumzaan and was wondering if the new ones are easier to access the lock bar then mine? if they are I am considering selling it to put towards a new one, thanks for any info

My 2009 S30V version was hard to access so I sold it. Bought 2011 S35VN version w/ new style lock and it made me fall in love w/ the Umnum all over again.

Can someone tell me when this "new style" lock bar started making its debut? I have a TNK Tanto that I love, but the lock bar is still a bit of a b**** to deal with one-handed. (DOB Dec 2010)

I have a 2011 S35VN Umnumzaan and the lockbar design is slightly different than the previous design and is supposedly easier to access. I have no problems accessing the lockbar and feel the redesign works well.
