New watch, suggestions welcome

I just upgraded to one of the fancier Casios. Analogue display but lots of digital features (stop watch, world time, etc.), solar rechargable, automatic time setting from the atomic clocks in either North America or Japan, comfortable resin band. Everything I want in a pretty package for less than $100 (though you can get fancier models for more). I especially like what it does NOT have; it does not have lots of little dials and rotating bevels compressed into a small, cluttered, hard to read face.

Enjoy whatever you choose.

Thank you all for the solid feedback, I greatly and truly appreciate your assitance. I was looking initially at the Luminox 8815 (Gray band/face 20th Anniversary edition). Looks pretty decent, but then the reviews of bad quality scared me off.

I will start looking at the Citizen line up and see what pops out at me. I love my G-Shock, but I've been wanting to expand my horizons so to speak.

I was intrigued by the Reactor watches, anyone here read anything good or bad about them? I guess the Japanese movement vs Swiss is a drawback to some.
That is what I love about this place, no matter what interests you, so many people are willing to offer helpful and friendly suggestions. If anyone else want to chime in, this would be great, I hope this thread helps other people in the same situation I am in.

Thanks all

I'm going to be original here and suggest a Citizen Eco-Drive.:D.

I wear a Citizen "Ecozilla", and by far, it's my favorite watch.

Citizen Eco Drive. Many great options in that price range. I have this model: WR100 Titanium, less than $225.

There are some really cool ones with carbon fiber bezels!

I have this one an I like it.

I also have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-Nylon-Self-Winding-Automatic-SNK805K2/dp/B000LTAY1U and have been enjoying it quite a bit... it has become my go to watch.

I have a Seiko Monster coming in... I have high hopes for it.

Have you looked at the Seiko diver automatic watches? Excellent value. They come with a rubber strap, jubilee stainless bracelet or Oyster stainless bracelet. I like the SKX007 and SKX009 models.

Must be tough if Glockman hits it!:D

Sorry Glockman - couldn't pass that one up.:p

I have been eyeing the Citizen eco-drive, love titanium, but there are always school fees.

I recently bought a Seiko 5 on Amazon for around $90. I prefer analog over digital, but I got sick of replacing batteries. The nice titanium watch my wife got me for a wedding gift 4+ years ago had the date mechanism crap out on it a year or so back. I got tired of not knowing the date, so I bought the Seiko as a birthday present:)
I looked at some G-shock watches, and I'll probably get one the next go around. I had never had a mechanical watch before though.

It certainly has a little more "soul" to it. It keeps pretty good time so far. I never take it off, so it never winds down. Easy to read, easy on the pocket book, classic "military" design. It's not the diver version, so technically I shouldn't get it overly wet. It holds up to showers and hand washing no problem. But it does give me a nice sized face with the date and day (the day feature comes in handy because half of the year I work 7 days a week and really do forget what day it is at times).

Very pleased so far:)
