New Waterjet being installed

cool mark. now you can eliminate the taper that you normally get with a waterjet and have some nice straight edges on whatever you cut out. will this new machine be able to cut thicker material or will it be about the same as your old one?

The machine will take 8" under the nozzle.
Eliminating the little bit of taper is not as big of a deal with knifemakers since everyone blends all surfaces.
The big deal for the industrial market is the ability to cut 0- 60 degree bevels. I do a lot of Ti and super alloy for the aerospace industry so there will be a lot of new applications with my aero & military customers. Great for precision weldments!
66,000 psi Servo pump vs the old style hydraulic intensifier will help me on electrical usage.
72" x 144" cutting area is a big deal too.
Thanks for the reply Richard!
