Indeed. I bought a Beacon, got professional scale mods, and installed Skiff bearings. You can see the results below. For all of that, I don't think I spent $340.

Of course, the street price isn't quite as bad. BladeHQ has the base model up for pre-order at $289. Meanwhile, inflation has pushed down the value of the dollar and there have been other economic issues. Unfortunately, that doesn't do much to reassure me. I might be interested if it goes on sale down the road but for now, it's a miss.
