New web site up

Definitely a better site, love the new option of customizing 112 and 113. But pricing is high on the customs which was already pretty high before.

Ordered from Buck Custom Shop on 7-30 & received 8-7 a perfect on all fronts 110 with S30V, ram horn, brass with brass pins and brown sheath. Under $150 delivered. Stunning custom bargain delivered at lightning speed IMHO.

I will give you the fast turn around. When I ordered my 2 alpha hunter customs the both took 4-6 weeks.
I was looking at building a 113 - the cheapest build 113 is DOUBLE what you can buy mass produced ones for yet the only difference would be the color of the dymond wood.
I also built a water buffalo handle one mirror blade and it was significantly more than than my water buffalo handle alpha hunter that I had made and yet the alpha hunter uses much more handle material.
To each there own not trying to rain on anybody's parade i just think some of the variations should be cheaper.
I too spend alot of money on knives

I am not sure that comparing the cost of mass produced production knives to that of one off custom knives motivates me to stop buying custom knives directly from Buck Knives, Inc..

Let me show you what I mean: I bought two new, in blister pack, production 110's about the same time that I bought the custom 110. Delivered price on the production 110's, with leather sheaths, $28 each. The custom 110, with leather sheath, about $150 delivered. The custom 110 cost about 5.5 times the cost of the production 110. I was happy, very happy, to buy both. Tickled really to even have a custom option at a price I don't find objectionable.

However, I just checked my records and I paid exactly $144.50 for the custom 110 at the end of July. Checking the new Buck web site I get $158.50 for the same 110 build. The price has gone up $14 or about 10% over the course of less than two weeks if I've figured it correctly. You, honestlyinsane (why did you pick that handle?), have a nose for inflation. I wouldn't have noticed had you not posted. Thank you.

Nope just prefer buffalo. Also noticed they also charge for nickel silver bolsters. Where as before I believe it was free.
Like I said not looking to argue. I just spent 220 bucks in a damascus paradigm in black. Just feel the way I feel.

That's a good looking web site for sure.:) Lol,I thought the internet would never last.:D Pretty amazing job

Tried my login for the first time since the new site came up and it will not recognize my email at all.

I've already received email from Buck since I created a new login with the new site. New site = new login for new account. I suppose that it is possible that at some point in the future the old site legacy data might be resurrected...

I set up a new account but it doesn't appear to have anything to do with the old Pro site.

I agree. No pro site connection what so ever. Ahhhh the good gone days. I will miss them.

I hoping for some pro site action in time for Christmas shopping.

No more pro site login for the BCCI members? Did I miss anything?
Has anybody an actual information and would like to share it with me and
the other BCCI members in the Blade Forums?

Haebbie

They sent out a special discount code a while back via email.....
It was good for up to 5 items......

I really wish they would put some build outs on the web special page again.

I just taking a wild guess here but with the "Lean Manufacturing" model now in place at Buck Knives I expect there will be a lot fewer buildouts in the future. "Just in Time" and "Just Enough" manufacturing means there are less overage materials to be used for buildouts. My thinking is that future Web Specials will be few and far between and mostly closeouts. The multitude of buildouts made for the 25th BCCI reunion was the last hurrah and even they were sold only at the Factory store. It's not efficient to put small quantity items on the web page. That means the people and resellers lucky enough to live in the region will pluck what little there is from the store....eBay is now the secondary market for that stuff. Buck isn't charging enough in the Factory store if resellers can make a profit by flipping the stuff. I probably check the Web specials page every other day....no joy.
