I picked up a Gransfors Bruks Forest Axe at the Oregon Knife Collectors SHow in Eugene.. Wow. This is the only Axe I will ever WANT to use again! The quality and workmanship really show!

Well, I am pairing up with a little something I received in the mail today... My Busse NWSAR 5!

Well Mike,
We think alike. I got a GB Wildlife hatchet at Eugene and my TAN/Tan SAR5 also came today. I also picked up a secopnd RMD (TAN/TAN) and a second Chopweiler (black/tan).
I was glad to see you were able to get the SAR5's. When I left you still did not have one. I am trying to decide which I like best, the RMD or the SAR5.
Nice pictures.

There's a pair that can accomplish anything in the field. Nice setup.

Good taste guys. I was eying those Gransfors as well. Ended up with some scandi instead:)
Looks like the 19" ? Let us know how she performs.

Gransfors Bruks...

Always wanted one. Did you get it directly from them at the show, or was someone else carrying them? Wondering if any will be at Blade later this month...

Now you need a little, thin cutting knife. How about BKR&T little creek to go with that combo!!!

Nice combo! There is very little that you could not do with those two tools. A thin slicer would be nice but then it would be a wilderness set not a combo! :D

if he wanted a slicer to go with his SAR he would want to get a OJ warden :D that would be a bada$$ set an axe a SAR and a OJ warden :)

Great combo mike, I think you have all bases covered w/ those tools. I know how you firefighters love your axes!!!

I have the GB, Forest, Wildlife and Mini. The Forest and Mini are my favorite.

Backpacking it's the Mini. Survival it's the Forest. The Wildlife is a in between that I don't have much use for.
