I went out to the Rocky Mountains for Thanksgiving. I was close to Golden, Colorado, so my Dad and I stopeed in at the Spyderco outlet store, I talked him into getting me a Jerry Hossom Dayhiker. I haven't used it, but I'm hoping to change that soon here is a picture. Sorry for the big picture.

Spyderco outlet is a fun place. Only downside is that you can find Dayhikers on the net for $140 VS what the outlet charges. Last time I was in they had 2 numbered pieces left.

Very nice. I haven't used one, but the Hossoms from Spyderco all look like great woods knives. Enjoy!

congrats... those are cool knives... i have wanted to get my hands on one of those for a while...

I love Spydercos, and those Hossom models are beautiful. A little high priced for me, but still gorgeous.

I got the last numbered one. Thanks for the nice things guys!

Mine says 186V. Am I looking in the right spot?

Last time I was there they had #'s 166 and 169. Looks like another became available.

The Dayhiker is my favorite out of that series. I had a Forester breifly. Let us know how the steel holds up.

I'd also recommend getting a new kydex rig for it, the stock sheath leaves much to be desired. Something like this.

ilbruche, where did u get your sheath?

This one was done by a guy that owns a knife shop and sells on ebay. His ebay name is Mbhanzo. He wanted $40 for a rig like this.

I'm sure any of the resident sheath makers could hook you up. Leatherface or Normark.

I'm not the biggest Spyrderco fan, but I did fondle a Spydie Dayhiker at Sportsman's Warehouse the other day. VERY nice knife!
