Regardless, don't be drawn into his web. Although weak and annoying like a small spider's, it can leave a rash which results from mere contact.:p
I'd avoid joining the fellowship (with only one member by the way). The dues are ALL of your future khuks and various acts of loyalty ( including being mean to me).
Instead join with EVERYBODY else. Easier, faster and you won't sprout black feathers.

Akabu ya wanna be reeeeaaaalllll careful cutting those hard grey colored poles with the sharp angles on 'em.
Seems to be that they're hollow inside and won't fall where you want them too.;)
If you do happen to get one down watch out for the whipping lines that are usually mounted to the tops of them.
It's said that they will give one a large charge.:)

that's the sound my CS rifleman's hawk has made when the Tree-of-Heaven moved on me and I hit the fence line pole:mad:
 
we have our Flying Rat's, Tree Rat's and the equivalant weed tree[Tree-of-Heaven]. It will grow in a crack in the side of building! If you let it live,it will infest your whole area I cut one back to the root,which was buried in cement.In TWO months it was 9 feet tall and 2 inches at the base.BUT with CHUCKIE my chopper I can dispense with the CS hawk Fiskar's folding saw and the Tramontina machette...second thought's on the saw..don't want to hurt Chuckie's smile:)
 
Wood poles are too puny. Go for the metal ones.

I not only took out that telephone poll, now laying across 5th street, (my pole felling skills are not what they used to be) but I also took out a couple of those 20' tall and 18" thick granite light posts that Baylor places all over campus and is known for. :p

Aren't khuks so much nicer than hawks? I've got one of those CS rifleman hawks as well and I can't believe how clumsy it is in comparison to my 18" WWII and the WWII cuts much, much better.:cool:

Three weeks gone into my own HIKV infection. Three weeks and tomarrow it will be three khuks when I pick up my Malla from the post office!!
And my tax return was direct deposited into my account yesterday! Hmmm, let's see will it be a 18" Gelbu? A Kobra? Or maybe a GRS? Oh my, decisions, decisions...... :D

Congrats!

You got a real versitile khukuri. If there is nothing around to chop you can always use it in the kitchen. Note, if you get careless your food goes sailing across the kitchen.
