Was the price $75 last year? That's almost 27% increase. I hope more of their price don't go up like that. The Select is only $4 up. Avid is up $10.

They must have got wind that the Pro was way better than its price suggested. At least that was my take on the whole Vantage line. Even with the price increases they are still a good deal. Street price around 40%+ off of list is still way cheaper than most S30V. Should still sell for under $60. Paid $46 shipped for the last I bought.;)
 
Bumping it up to $95 will put it more in line with the prices for competing knives from other companies. At $75. the Vantage Pro had the edge over those knives, giving it a definite advantage. (No puns intended.)
However, I'm sure their move was carefully considered.
 
There's an alternative to raising prices.

They can choose to discontinue really good knives instead.

Hate to see that.
