I'm qualified but have many knives like it. If it's OK to enter for another I'd like that other to be blade forum's most avid canoeist, 5K Qs 5K Qs and thanks Gary for your generosity. Happy New Year
If you don't mind I will play for GT (5K Qs).
He does like the canoe pattern.

Thanks for this generous offer, my best whishes for the new year.

Dan.
Thanks for the vicarious entries, gentlemen; much appreciated! :):cool:
I certainly liked the looks of the RR canoe G2 so generously put up for grabs.
I don't think I won an actual GAW in 2022, but I decided not to enter this appealing GAW because I'd been the recipient of lots of thoughtful generosity from others here at BF.
Congrats to BlindMouse2of3 BlindMouse2of3 on his victory; I hope you enjoy the canoe pattern as much as I have!:cool::thumbsup:
Kudos to Gary for not only hosting the GAW, but also for expanding his vision beyond CONUS during the event!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks sir and package is on its way and should be there by Monday, not bad to mail to Alaska!

And for those of you that shun the Alaskan territory, I'd say not to worry so much. I mailed out the package this past Tuesday after the New Years holiday, from upstate NY, it arrived there on Friday! and the cost was about the same if I mailed it to California, so all in all I'd say that is pretty easy and worth checking it before not dealing with the folks up north!

For the life of me I could not find this thread this morning before I had my coffee to post here.

I received my new years giveaway knife last night. Gary is a ridiculously generous man. Not only did he give away as far as I can tell a very fine knife but put it in a custom box and included a cool lanyard and card to explain the bead. The whole package is awesome. He even gave me updates on the tracking progress. I'm not sure what services you offer Gary but I am now a customer.

I will say the pictures don't do it justice. for being a budget blade it's very well put together or maybe that just how they show up from Gary. It's marked online as either vg-10 or 440A. Either should hold up just fine for daily tasks. This knife will fit perfectly in my 5th pocket and will be my sledding Saturday knife today.

If it rides well in my 5th pocket today it'll stay there. It's a good non scary knife for those situations around certain people
