New York Custom Knife Show (NYCKS) Friday 11/16 - Sunday 11/18 Westin J.C.

I'm at the Westin. Place looks great. They really cleaned up around here fast!!! Should be a great show!!!!
I'm hoping to win the lottery!!!! Maybe the odds are greater on the first day since not so many will be here yet????

You will be surprised!
Good luck tomorrow!

All that I can say is everyone that is going today SUCKS! Was planning originally on being there today but had other things come up that made it impossible to take the day off. Will be there bright and early tomorrow though!

From what I have been reading, it seems almost a waste of time going tomorrow.

It sucks about the lotteries and the tricks some use to load them in their favor only to resell the knives at tremendous margins.

Reckon no XM-18 in my future.

Hows the parking situation?

People will always try to "outsmart" or "cheat" no matter what. But I can say that these lotteries are as fairly managed as possible.

It's one entry per person per lottery.

If you bring 10 people with you....if each is after a knife for themselves... If you and your spouse try for one knife or one for each of you.... It's obvious how I feel about the odds manipulation.

I hope I did not offend anyone on BF,that was not my intention. I am sure the lotteries themselves are as best managed as possible under the circumstances. It's simply that I have read so much about how folks come in droves to better their odds only for the sake of profit;at times reselling at that very show. I'm not sure if that is true or hearsay but I can believe anything these days. I plan on going for the sake of having fun and living vicariously through others. Since my $ will be limited I'll probably just enjoy handling some of the artwork and meeting fellow addicts. And who knows, perhaps my ticket will come up?

See y'all there God willing.

I'm not offended. My statement was simply to say that the lotteries are fair, it's people that try to take advantage.

Realistically, I do not see that many people paying for droves of people to get into the knife show for the possibility of winning a lottery.

I can however see people going for the show and not having any interest in lets say Hinderer's but entering the lottery anyways in hopes of making a profit.

Guess I will see tomorrow how many are entered for the lottery

Friday was an absolute Blast. Met some BF regulars and maybe
Recruited a couple new ones. Wanted to be there Saturday too but
As is often the case, some issues arose that prevented it.
Least I didn't miss the NYCKS like last year. Prom weekend again this year
But I didn't have to drive this year.
Great seeing Rick, Rob, Mike, Pete, Rene' and meeting Mark and Hirsh
Good times!

It was really nice to finally meet you, too (although I felt like I've known you for years). I only ended up with some micarta but maybe I'll pick up something good at ECCKS! Still a good time as always.
