Ok this wasn't/isn't a BF transaction. Simply a warning to the forum I love so much. A maker who goes by the handle of New York Knife Maker (Ryan) has scammed upwards of ten people, mostly on Instagram. My involvement is this: a friend of mine, Kevin, has started a miltary themed clothing company, vet life apparel. Kevin and I were in the Corps together 2/8 Echo. Class act doing well for himself. Anyways he contracted with this maker to produce 18 knives in September As of right now he has received three. Other individuals who purchased single knives are going on upward of six months. But the maker is still posting knives for sale and auction via IG. He is also refusing to respond to emails and calls and will not refund them their money. Again not a BF transaction but obviously something that needs to be shared amongst the community. This isn't right. Please contact me here or via email james_freddie04@yahoo.com if you have been scammed or would like more info. Thanks guys

Makers full name is Ryan Carlson. Espouses to be a Christian while ripping guys off left and right.

I've seen a lot of negative stuff on Instagram about him as well recently; I got a small necker knife from him a while back with no issues...

Maybe I got lucky? :foot:

It's possible. Again this ain't a BF thing I don't wanna get wrist smacked so I'm not gonna post anything incriminating here but I have seen pretty irrefutable evidence. He sent me a progress pic of my friends knives two days ago. My friend then showed me the exact same picture in an email dated 11/19/15. So it appears he just bit off more than can chew and like so many it seems is trying his hardest to NOT do the right thing.

Yikes. That's pretty awful and I'm sorry to hear that you're both in that situation of waiting for knives, especially if you've paid...
