New York Knifemaker mentoring?

I'm not sure where to put this thread, will gladly shut it down if it is not in the correct place.
Is there any knife maker in the New York area willing to teach how to make a frame lock/liner lock knife about 8/17-9/1? I will pay for learning fees.
