What is "Battle Swedge" grind?

Thanks, Vassili.

On the one above the transition line between the blade grind and swedge grind appears to terminate at the tip.

On the standard ZT0300, the termination line is well above the point.

According to TAD, the battle swedge grind is on the top of the blade. If you look closely, the top grind on the DC does start at the tip, as Paddling Man has stated. But the grind also runs the full length of the blade, whereas the other ZT's stop at roughly the same area as the ZT logo. TAD says this reduces the weight of the blade, which seems obvious. The question is does this also reduce the strength of the blade?

Mine shipped from TAD yesterday, UPS says will arrive 12/19. I'll let you know how it looks. I got the camo one.

Got my 300 DW last night, it's the camo one. Looks and feels great just like my 302. I do like the plain blade, but I also like the stripes on the 302 as well. I'm so easy. I'll take some pics and post soon.

That full swedge is really cool looking. I wouldn't think that it would weaken the blade any as it is such a small amount being taken.
