New Zome Delica and Endura

Eh, to me just looks like camo. I would be interested in maybe some other color combinations/patterns.

Same here, and as much as I appreciate art and especially Japanese art, I think we should take a step back here and recognize that there are probably some ordinary Japanese people brushing dye on FRN in a factory somewhere and that we are succumbing to their marketing which is romanticizing Japanese tradition, when in reality 100% of people on the street that saw one of these and weren't aware of them previously would just think it's camo.

I think it looks cool. But I agree that it just looks like camouflage to me. If I didn't look at the markings on the blade, you wouldn't know this has anything to do with Japan.

You can dye frn with hot water and Rit dye yourself. Dye or buy the lighter color, wrap it tightly with plastic bags (might be able to use duct tape) where you want to keep the color and dye the darker color. Takes less than an hour depending on how dark you want it.

If they don't also use a different steel, I don't believe I will get one.

Also In my opinion if they used white FRN with red dye (Japanese flag colors) I think that would be much
more meaningful, if anything the camouflage just makes me think of the u.s. Military and given our history with Japan it feels disingenuous to tie that to Japanese tradition, but I guess I'm just being negative and going off topic.

For those who are interested, these are starting to show up at the dealers.

I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Not really into the camo look and I'm holding out with hopes of sprint run with a cool color combo and steel upgrade.

Edit: My previous statement was incorrect. The dealer I checked earlier only lists these as being available as pre-orders.

This is so cool. I hope they make a Zome Stretch. I like the colors used on this first batch.

Just saw these at knife center. I'm thinking about getting one and doing a blade swap with hap40. Any thoughts on this? It should work right?

I would think it should work just fine. To be safe I think I would only swap the scales and keep all the hardware (blade, locks, liners, etc) the same on each knife.

Good thinking. I would love to swap out for a SE H1 blade but from what I can see on the web that won't work :(

I do like VG-10 well enough but I just want something with different performance. My Pacific SE salt is my most carried knife right now. I'd love these handles with that blade.

I haven't heard anything in a while, but, iirc, I thought sal mentioned that the Salt series was getting upgraded to the new "Gen4" profiles... Then you would be GTG...

That would be great!

Welp, just put in the order for a Zome Endura. Knife center has great rewards if you buy a bunch of knives. I spent over a $1,000 there this year so I got a $50 gift card. This $70 knife cost me $20. Love it. Will make a new thread with pics once it gets in.

Too camo-y for my taste. I would like to know what dye they used though and I'd certainly be game for some more vibrant colors.
