I really need to get one of these. I want to preorder, but I feel it's pointless now because of so many preorders already placed ahead of me. I want to wait till KershawGuy gets some in. The 0560 is top of my list.
I'm not sure I understand your logic, OpKey. What have you got to lose by putting in a pre-order? If you get a chance to buy one before your pre-order comes through, you can always cancel your pre-order. If not, your pre-order will hold your place in line.
are these limited or unlimited production?
Unlimited . . . or at least limited only by KAI's production capacity. I don't think it's a question of "if" you'll be able to buy an 0560/0561 at MAAP pricing, it's a question of "when".
I don't think so. I'd go so far to say we won't have backorders cleaned up in 6 months. There will be a couple of runs, but not so many that there will be anything close to "plenty" unfortunately.I still say they'll be plenty of 0560's and 0561's to go around in 6 months. If KAI has as much business sense as I think they do, they'll strike while the iron is hot.
No, I'm thinking of them aside the first say 500 of each new release and numbering them as special and sending them to and authorized dealer and making them for preorder thru them like kershaw guy. If that would be possible. Or maybe a factory outlet.Possibly. But that means ZT would have to sell direct to its customers like Busse does. And that would probably violate its domestic distribution agreements unless, perhaps, ZT sold its knives direct for full retail.
What about blems?I don't think so. I'd go so far to say we won't have backorders cleaned up in 6 months. There will be a couple of runs, but not so many that there will be anything close to plenty unfortunately.
