Rick,

As Dad useta say,"Just keep on keepin' on!"

Because the Knife Vultures are a-circlin',and Blade is a-comin'!

And Gnarly is still predicting: more pages/threads/views than Our Beloved ZT/H 0551 generated!

See....all you have to do is ask and we can get some more tidbits of information. You never know; the more people that ask maybe we'll get more info. Even if it is just a big HI from the the man himself. Thomas, your turn...peek your head in here and give us a high five.:)

Hey Thomas/Rick - - how about a few more hints on this? Any decision on the pivot? Any parts cut yet for the protos? Start our weekend off right with a little love. :)

I don't think there has been any mention of a limited run. I would imagine if there is going to be one, it might be announced at Blade Show.

I don't think there has been any mention of a production run. We're still in the prototype stage...
Actually we're not even in the prototype stage, we're in the design stage. As is the knife is nothing more than an CAD drawing.

Saddens me,to lose that bet....but will settle for the reassurance!

Not good at future-predicting....When my ship comes in,I'll undoubtedly be at the airport!

I'm still on board for the ZT flipper. The 0551 is a very nice knife, and I expect the flipper to be similar in overall build quality. The XM has calmed me down a little though. It seems the ZT will be more along the lines of the XM-24, which would be awesome. Can't wait to see the proto, and eventually get my hands on a production model.

Don't worry, I'm an expert at saying that things are moving slower than we would expect.
There will always be unexpected delays (and more of them than you would expect), even if you were diligent in accounting for every possible scenario.
This is just the way things run when you are making stuff. It is the reason Sal Glesser has stopped giving release dates for knives. Instead of telling us when a knife should be finished he just ships it and the announcement is made in dealer inventory lists.
That way we can't complain about a knife being late.

I'm not saying I would rather be kept in the dark, it is incredibly fun watching a knife develop from start to finish. Especially one as special as this.
