New ZT release 1/12/26

The one on the ZT web site looks like another crossbar lock but similar to my 0556?
Please let there be another beefy boy folder release. Any sneak peeks?

That’s disappointing if it’s not a completely new design.

Candidly, it looks almost like a ZT 0556 auto they've made into a manual crossbar variant. In any case, those wanting another beefy hard-use model are probably going to be disappointed.

And what a great knife the 308 is. I still dream about a 3.25" 308.

I have a 0620 that stays in my wife's Jeep as an emergency knife, a 0562, and a 0801. I like them all, but I just haven't seen anything from ZT in several years that really interests me. Tastes vary though.

I am certainly not one to talk, I hadn't bought a ZT in many years, and then I was on travel and happened to see a 0545 with the blue CF scales and that beautiful Magnacut blade and it left with me.

You know, as I look back and forth at pictures of the 0545 and the outline of the new upcoming knife, it's sure looking an awful lot like a 0545 with VERY minor line differences, and a crossbar lock replacing the framelock.

I loved the 0545, really quite an amazing bit of work for a frame lock that thin. That flipping detent is tally nice.

It absolutely is. The blade grind on mine (especially on the flats!!) is just gorgeous, and the snappy flipping action for a knife that small, light, and thin is just aces. It's definitely in my permanent collection.

The silhouette profile on ZT's site looks a bit like a Kershaw Iridium.

Saw the announcement email about these, I'm hoping for something big, bold, with a robust construction. Something old school. Not too many overbuilt folders with good edge geometry these days.
