That and Kershaw/ZT's ability to make extremely high quality products as well. It's just a perfect combination. Any day now... I hope.

True. I would also say it's the superior service and community involvement of ZT and the quality of Rick Hinderer knives in one package that builds anticipation.

What else would you expect, though? It's a thread about a knife design from Rick Hinderer, being made by a company known for some of the best production hard-use folders. This is thus far the closest thing to a production XM-18 we've ever had, and may be the closest we get. With the reputations of both parties involved, you know you're gonna get an excellent little beast of a knife.

Why WOULDN'T you be excited about this?

I think this thread is a fitting tribute to Rick Hinderer. It really shows what people think of his products.

I agree with both points. Rick wouldn't take a chance on something like this unless he was absolutely certain it would be done right, and to his standards. Kershaw is a natural fit for this knife and Rick knows Thomas and co. can deliver exactly what he wants. Just as Ken O, RJ, Tim, AG and the Hawks have found out.

This morning I awoke at 550, turned over as the clock turned 551. Even in my sleep I can't get away from these blades!!

Common Sense...The Rarest Of All Senses:cool:

Steady now fella's, I did mention a machine went down, and that there would be a week or so delay.

It's that "so" that gets you every time. :)

This may have been covered already, but how does the elmax compare to the vanax, and how do both compare to more common steels such as 154cm or S30v?

Just reading between the lines, but it sounds to me that it'll be more than a week delay.

Normally I don't do that kind of thing, but this thread is worth searching. there is a lot of really good info and interesting pictures to see.

Regular business is potentially going to hip check the 0551, but I don't feel there is going to be a big delay (although the holiday build is upon us). Next week will be a big week with regards to the 0551. I'll keep you up to date with the progress, good or bad.

Don't panic, I'm on it.
