New ZTs on video

Those new clips look odd. Are they jotting out to the side of the 2 mounting holes? I was hoping that they be a lowride, but it doesn't look that way.

Not impressed at all.....boooooo.Oh well, my dealer dropped Kai anyways.:thumbdn:.sorry :o

C'mon guys really? At least wait till you handle the knife first. I posted pics in the other thread.

I like the narrow lines, rather than the previous bulky models, they work for me.

Thanks for all the detailed commentary, much appreciated.

We went to SHOT with a foursome of ZT proto's, and received a lot of feedback from attendee's. Since the show, we have made some tweaks based on that feedback, so there will be some changes from what we showed last week. Hopefully the next few weeks will bring forth new proto's and spec's. Will post images when they're available.

I really like the 170. And the bayonet looks pretty good, too. I'd be really tempted to buy something to attach it if I had one. The 0780 looks interesting, I'll need to see better pics before I can make up my mind. Neither the Talon or Tanto are blade shapes that I care for. Although there are quite a few fans of the old Talon models. Nice to see ZT bring a version back for those folks.

FWIW, this SHOT Show line up is just a small part of what ZT has in store for 2010 and was focused more on LEOs. There will be more new models introduced at BLADE from what I've heard.

Are you sure about this? I thought these 5 were the new ones for 2010, ZT doesn't tend to introduce a lot of new models each year.

I'll echo what has been said before a small ZT300 would be great (and no the ZT350 doesn't really count). :p

The ZT line is still quite young, and we're getting our feet underneath us. No doubt you will see more offerings in 2010. Blade Show will probably be the platform for them.

Well I happily stand corrected. :D

Now just get them speedform/volts shipping and you'll make me a happy man.

Thomas, not sure what your position is within KAI but I appreciate your posts, always knowledgeable. Always good to get the scoop straight from the horse's mouth.

sorry, been having a few drinks.

They all look very interesting.

I would make one suggestion about the presentartion;
The knives would be much easier if the were shown with a white background.
The tend to blend with the blue background.:)

Now I'm more sure. ;)

Thanks Thomas. Look forward to seeing what the rest of the year holds for ZT.

I liked the look of the last knife with the non coated tanto blade and a good price point. I will also get one of the bayonets, hopefully a bit cheaper than mrsp though, $350 is a bit steep for me.
