Maybe some members in this group can share some info on this modelI wasn't even aware these existed so thanks for bringing them to my attention! I'm going to have to look around and see if I can find an 80 - 84/85 model to add to my collection.![]()
Welcome to the Family farm! You can treat the symptoms of Buck Fever...but there is no cure..I like the 112 from the factory sale as it's odd and unusual (what I collect) and the 'Founder's Edition' 112 handle looks odd to me as well..Since you really, really like Damascus keep a lookout for ANY 112 with a Damascus blade. Extremely rare and hard to find, even loose blades, they are a bit of a Buck mystery as to when and how many were ever made. I have a few and treasure each one! Early Buck 500's in stag are almost certain to be Sanbar Stag from India and are rare with the correct box ,shieth and paperwork which adds a high percentage of value..$300.00 should buy you a spectacular NIB example with matching stag..

@ bucks way. So you mean to say the later dated stag is not that valuableWelcome to the Family farm! Thanks broThe 500 is not my area of expertise but I'm on Ebay often. Any stag Buck is desirable but as a general rule the earliest is usually more valuable. For example Copper and Clad has a factory stag 112 out now that sells for $100.00 or so but any 3 or 4 dot stag 112 can easily sell for twice that or more. Part of that is because after 20 years many were used and separated from the original box, shieth and paperwork and many are lost period. Inflation matters too.. Numbered Bucks out of the original Custom shop with a letter are valued much higher than a otherwise identical knife.
Thanks bro
