Newb Kershaw question

What is the "North Arrow" and circle looking on symbol on some Kershaws?
Is it for limited productions?

I did a search didn't turn out.

That is the Composite blade symbol. Meaning two steels were fused together. It is an amazing concept.

Did Alexjandro come up with that design? I believe he's the guy that came up with the new icons for the Kershaw packaging and the new ZT logo (that looks like ZG). I like his work with the new packaging and ads but the tail on the Z should be dropped so the T doesn't look like a G.

I'd love to see his Applejack knife put in production, similar to the Volt but with rosewood handle with an unusual blade shape. The blade doesn't drop like the Offset but has a similar curve.. maybe the bastard child of the Offset and a Strider Nightmare Grind of some sort.
