"Newbie" first impression of a Commander....

I just received my new Commander today from the 1SKS. I ordered it from Kevin. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Fit and finish appear above par. Everything is tight where it should be, and loose where it should be.

No rattles. Liner locks up right in the middle. Blade is shaving sharp. Black T coating is perfect. Blade swings open with ease, yet there is no "play". G10 is comfortable with no sharp edges.

Overall I am quite pleased....

Suggestions on care? I heard not to do "inertia snaps" on knives.....
Any advice?

Ahhhhh

NO! You have to go through the ritualistic hazing first. The other Usual Suspects will come up with a new ritual for ya. Don't be surprised if it involves drinking goats blood, singing "I'm a little tea cup....." in a pink tu tu in Time Square and.......and...hmmmmm I'll get back to ya on the rest

Drinking goat's blood??? Bite your tongue, Ross! Atfena happens to be the guardian of our angora goat herd, and she knows all! Man, I've seen Atfena the Llama stomp coyotes into little blobs of gooey squish for just lookin' at her goats funny. Be careful with such talk!
