i dont respect or trust ontario knife company. i definately! have my eye on the junglas. i love rat cutlery and cant wait to get the junglas knife. im hoping its a 1095. anyways the tip on the rtak broke really really easy... disconcerting.

My first survival knife was the RTAK II. I saw it on a survival website list of best survival knives. I researched it and bought it. I love it. After I bought it I found out abt the separation Rat Cutlery from Ontario. If I were to buy a knife of that size now, I would get the Junglas, which will be out soon.

rtakiII is a good knife , it is still a rat design.
I like the blade profile and point of balance for the lighter stuff and can still chop fairly well.
I am seriously considering grinding the handle smaller ala junglas, my only complaint is the thick handle.
for the price you see them on the bay they are a deal, ontario makes pretty tough knives although some slip through QC that ROWEN with RAT has solved.

doesnt RAT cutlery put a differential heat treat on their blades? i assume junglas will have this if they do? and ontario knife company does or doesnt differentially temper their blades?
