I'm fairly new to making knives and I've only made a few. Around 10. They've come out nicely and I have taken my time with them. My issue right now is that I'm trying to make an Usuba for a gift. I'm having issues with the bevel. Would I'd like to do for this particular knife is buy a ground blank bc i'm having trouble with it and want it to be perfect. My normal flat grinds come out nice but this one is different. I don't have an issue getting a blank for this particular knife and the handle is what's going to be really special. (Walnut off of the tree our dog is buried under). I'm having trouble finding the blank at any shops where I would normally buy supplies. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated. Please don't give me a hard time for wanting to use a blank for this, I just want it perfect and the chisel grind back and hollow grind front isn't in my repertoire yet. Please and thanks in advance!
