As a newbie at this game its easy too get confused with all of the various patterns of traditional folders. Could someone please direct me too a good source, maybe a printed guide with names and patterns?

Here's a Case pattern list (probably not exhaustive, but pretty good for a start)...

Queen's website is pretty good; nice pictures...

Moore Maker's catalog is yet another good source of info.
