Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and announce my lurker status for the next few weeks as I catch up on all the knowledge available here. I am working in the Ventura county area of California and starting to make some knives with my limited space and tools. So far I started with a drop point hunter that I bought as a cut out blank (1095), and I made a copy of that blank from an old Nicholson file from my dads cast offs. So far I am enjoying myself and learning more every day.
If anyone is in my area I would love the chance to be a fly on the wall in your shop at some point in the future; eventually I want to learn how to forge
