Newbie question about respirators

Hey Guys,

I'm a stone newbie at this. I am told that I need to wear a respirator when grinding/cutting/buffing Dymondwood or Micarta. There are a bunch of different respirators out there with very different specs & I'm pretty confused by it all. What do I actually need?

The very least should be an N95 rated paper mask. N95 means it will remove at least 95% of airborne particles. I prefer something with replaceable filters that gets in the 99% range because of my asthma.

These are great. If you look around, you can find them sub 100.00. I use P100 filters for grinding steel and use 3M 6001 for wood, micarta, etc.

I like the silicone half mask witha P100 filter

I've never found even the certified paper masks to fit well enough to work.
