I've never worked with the stuff before. Can it be cut with a hacksaw, or are you guys/girls using a chopsaw on this stuff? I noted it is made of glass-based fiber, and I suspect steel saw blades would just get their teeth stripped off.

What do you folks use to cut/finish?

TIA.

a bandsaw cuts through it just fine. make sure your using a respirator and good ventalation around the dust!! But it works pretty easy.

I tried cutting some .25" G10 with my woodcutting band saw and it really dulled the blade so much that I had to toss it. I hear the metal cutting saw is more suited, but I haven't tried it yet.

A metal cutting blade on your bandsaw will work just fine. However, when working with G-10 it is wise to wear protection. The fibers are fine and very "unhealthy" for the lungs.

Sounds like I can use files and stuff on it then as well. I'll just use metal-type saws on it. Thanks guys!

Same thing happened to me, now I'm cutting it on a bench mounted circular saw with a carbide tipped blade. No problems there.
