I recently acquired a number of handmade Japanese knives of various configurations. Is this the correct forum to post photos for help in identification? Is there a better forum for this specialty
 
I’d say post them here and let the people take a look. It really depends on what you have.
 
You can post them here or the knife collecting and identification sub forum
Member can tell you what you have, but if you are looking for value you will need a gold or above membership

Yeah, I kinda figgered that. Peter suggested I post them to see if anyone could help me identify them. I guess that didn't work so well. I just bought them and thought it would be interesting to know what I bought. I have not had much luck researching so far. Back to my original question. Is there a site where folks are into Japanese knives enough to help? Peter referred to an identification sub-forum? Meanwhile, I'll just keep using them. Best culinary cutlery I've ever used. Saludos
