I just bought a used Sebenza from another BladeForums member. He does not have the papers or key that originally came with it. Will I still be able to get warranty support if I turn out to need it or have I adopted an orphan? :-}

Also, the blade has been sharpened. Can anyone tell me style and angle of edge the Sebenzas get before they are shipped? When I need to touch it up I'd like to do it right.

It should still be covered by the warranty. It's not an orphaned knife, just adopted. Mine is an adopted knife also. I don't think Chris would let that happen to one of his many children. But, you can always call and ask to be sure. As far as the 2nd part of your question...check here:

Thanks for the info and for pointing me to the FAQ. Lots of good stuff in there! <sheepish grin>

I already have a Spyderco Sharpmaker 204, so it looks like I'm ready to go.
