Quarters are not a guide but a reference to the angle to use. If you buy diamonds buy DMT.

also take into consideration that the quarter trick will turn out different for different knives. If you have a larger blade with more height on the blade, you'll need more quarters stacked to get the same angle than you will need on a smaller, less high blade.
You could calculate the exact corner with some trigonometry

Yah thanks for your help. ALl of my blades that i will get are around 2.5-4 inches like my kershaw ram and soon to get spyderco delica, endura, or native etc.

Since I am new to this all, you guys think this would be good?
