Newbie stimulus givaway

I'm in.

Thanks Stacy for the opportunity, and kind gesture to help us newbie's. Which every one was at one time.

How Can I turn this down? Count me in.

I can just stop by and pick it, Stacy. That'll save some shipping costs.:D

Thanks for doing this!

I have liked the theme of the latest giveaway threads. The problems with some are the number of folks who want in, the limited number of possible entrants, and the keeping track of who has what number.
I have a new giveaway, and a new system. This will be for newer makers. If you have made more than five knives, let the newbies have this one.

I will :
Profile a blank of 1084 into a drop point hunter profile, and anneal it.

Drill the tang for rivet holes.

Provide a pair of superb ,stabilized, Bill Moran maple scales, which have been
pre-drilled for Corby Bolts (bolts included) ,but left unshaped.

Provide a full pack of 3M polishing papers (400-8000 grit), to do the final handle finishing.

Provide on-line advise and assistance to the winner with any questions he/she may have during the knife build.

When ready for HT, I will do the HT if the maker wishes, and return it tempered and ready to do the finishing and assembly.

The filing/grinding/sanding/polishing/shaping will all be up to the maker.

The winner will be picked at random from all the posters who reply, "I'm in." by March 31. Your posting number will be your entry number. Only one entry per person.

Sound Good?

Stacy

When i first started up on the forum here, I was trying to run before i could walk. Stacy was one of the first people here to tell me i should slow right down and start at the beginning.
Then what did i do?
I exploded on him and called him an old man.

What did Stacy do?
He apologized to me (i was the one off the handle)
and sent me a stimulus package consisting of 6 pieces of steel and a beautiful piece of stabilized burl!!! and from that little box of goodies i found that patience and just slowing down and starting at the beginning can not be over estimated.

Just wanted to share that story to show just how great a guy Stacy is (I'm sure you all know that on here by now) Thanks for helping me find a balance with knife making and helping me even after i exploded on you. Your where a great help to me and i just wanted to thank you for being so generous with this contest.

I don't need the stimulus, just wanted to blow a bit of smoke your way.

P.s again, sorry for calling you an old man..
