Newbie with a knife question

welcome to the forum, i ditto cziv as to a good strong folder .certainly after many years of carrying both knives i also rate them dead even. as to hunters i like many offerings --check out the extensive selection of Bark River.

Folder for self defense-
You want something you can deploy f-a-s-t.
I can not think of anything faster than a "Waved Emerson".
The only thing faster is a fixed blade (at least for me, maybe it is the practice?)
