I've been lurking around this forum reading posts from google search results and finally decided to join. I'm 27, from North Central Florida and have been collecting knives my entire life and recently began making my own using mostly 1095 stock,farrier rasps and files and have been somewhat successful grinding and beveling my own patterns. I just finished constructing my first propane forge and have been seeking an anvil locally. I look forward to discussing this craft and learning all I can.
A recent trip to Alaska resulted in me shipping home 15lbs of fresh caribou antler sheds cut to usable lengths. I'm hoping I can make some pretty neat stuff out of it.
