Hello all...brand new to the forum and to knives as well. I got on ebay the other day to try to find a Camillus TL-29 and the next thing I knew I owned 3, also a Spyderco Civilian, a Benchmade 943, and half a dozen or so "vintage" pocket knives. (vintage seems to cover quite a broad spectrum)

I'm no expert, and I probably bought some junk, but every time one shows up in the mail I get another thrill...I think I'm hooked. Anyhow, I'm looking for some resources to learn about knives. I can see this site is going to be a great one, and I'd also like to know about any good books to look for.

I would appreciate any advice anyone has the time to give me.

Thanks a bunch!

Welcome, my advice would be.

If you want something, save and buy it, dont substitute for something cheaper, because you will spend just as much money when you buy an inferior product, and then buy the product you wanted in the first place...

I have done the above alot...

Thanks, I looked there and WOW! My head is still spinning. I'm already trying to justify going after a Randall, maybe I can sell a kidney. You only need one to live, right? :D

Thanks again
