Hi GUYS/GALS.
Just joined this group as I have a small collection and,need to find some history to one that has intrigued me since acquiring it several years ago.
It is a Camillus folding machete.black bakelite?? handle 5.5 inches long,blade 10.5 inches long,it comes complete with it's blade guard if anyone can furnish me with any history of this type of weapon,I would be very grateful.
I would have posted some photos of it,but don't really know how

PS I have been in contact with Camillus but,they can't help as the original company no longer exists.
 
I entered Camillus folding machete into Google and found a lot of links to historical websites and ones for sale. Check it out, I think you will find lots of information.
It looks to be a WWII vintage item from what I could gather. It is a cool tool from the looks of it.
