Newest Arrival

Thanks Officer's Match, Straight shooter, and Atony! I think I'm going to be happy with it.

Since I'm at work today I figured I would leave my Star-Tac at home and put the 25 back in my pocket. I figured I would spend less time playing with the 25 than I would the Umnumzaan. :p
 
You have a very nice collection. Better slow down a little tho. 2 in a week faster than I've ever bought CRKs. Just kidding.

I like the Starbenza a lot. I have 1 coming the first part of next week. I would have bought a Startac also, but I don't like the lbs or the lockbar extention. To me a Startac (Zaan) isn't a Startac

with the lbs and the lockbar extention. I have 2 older model Zaan's without the extras the new models have, I like them much better.

You might want to be on the hunt for an older Zaan with the unnecessary extras the new Zaans have.

I don't know, I kind of like the newer model, nothing against the older ones which I hope to pick up down the road along with a large regular and maybe an annual or two and then maybe a... Well you get the point. These minor changes make it more interesting. The LBS doesn't have any affect on the knife as far as I can tell because the lock bar clears the blade long before it hits the stop. I understand they put it on there because some people tried to bend the lock bar back thus screwing up the knife. The extension on the lock bar is nice if you are wearing gloves, it allows you to make contact with the release easier. The part I wish they would have kept was the original style pivot on them. That really looked neat but like everything else on this knife they have changed, I'm sure they felt was an improvement from the original design. Any any case I think the Star-Tacs are a neat knife whether old or new.
 
I've got one on the way! Exciting. I've always wanted one just never pulled the trigger. I was always a small SEB guy. Things change I guess. Maybe I've grown up! I like a bigger blade these days. Pics when I get her!!

Congratulations, I hope you enjoy yours as well as I have mine! I picked up both the Star-Benza and the Star-Tac over the past month and I can say I really enjoy the Wilson starburst pattern on the scales. Between the two I would have to say the Star-Tac is my favorite but the 21 is a close second. ;)
