Haven't been watching the Spyderco forum as often as I used to. Has there been any more word about the locking version of the Spyderco UK Penknife? Wasn't it going to be the newest manifestation of the the Calypso line? Any ETA yet?

I dunno but I would buy a few for sure. My Calypso Jr gets the most pocket time out of any of my knives.

Ok so I looked at the prototype pics and I have to say

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE MAKE IT TIP DOWN!!

Great link USSR. Thanks.

There are some very cool protos there, and the Caly III looks like a winner.

Double Tap.

Oh well, I'll add that I really like that Fred Perrin Streat Beat.

There is no announced release date. I'd be surprised if it ships before 1st Qtr 2007.

Think I'm going to hold on the Delica 4 and just pick up one of these, looks great, flat grind, and also appears to have a low-ride wire clip just what I've been looking for.:D

Count me in for at least 2 maybe 3 of these! I would love to see the handles made of Micarta but the G-10 looks good. The added slots for grip on the choil and thumb stop are a thoughtful addition. I just got back from camping for a few days and my Calypso Jr. Micarta PE with good old AUS-8 served me well as usual...

I'm really looking forward to the ZDP bolstered version. I can't believe they are making the ZDP version with bolstered handles instead of just solid G-10... but hey thats awesome news for me :D I just hope they decide on a cool inlay like peel ply carbon fiber.

Wow!!! There are some great-looking offerings there!
I especially like the Micro Dyad. Definitely have to get my hands on one of those.

You can always buff the G10 till it is shiny(and slightly slick), and looks like Micarta. I have a Dodo that was "pimped" before I every got it and it looks very good.
Just an idea.
