Newest Calypso Release Date?

So many knives! Calypso, P'kal, and Waved Spyderco Delica and Endura, G10 Byrds. That is what's on my short list at this time.

I read this to mean the ZDP-189 CalyIII with fancy handles due late summer not the plain VG-10 G-10 . :confused:
 
What is the blade length and overall length of the Caylypso 3? That knife is straight out of my dreams if it the size I think it is. Is it larger than the CJ and smaller than the full sized Calypso.

I believe it will be the same size as the UKPK, 3" blade, 4" handle, 7" overall which is just a hair larger than the Caly Jr. I believe CJ burgandy specs were 2.88 blade, 3.87 handle.
 
It will be the perfect EDC. It is just what I have always looked for but never quite found. The best steel, flat ground, excellent handle material, not too big or too small and with a low ride clip. Spyderco knocked the ball out of the park with this knife.:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
 
VG-10 w/G10 will be out first. I was speculating that the ZDP variant won't be out until next year.
 
Does anyone have any pictures of a knife (or anything) with peel-ply carbon fiber? I have no idea what that looks like.
 
I predict it to sell very well. If the price is around $75 or under, they are going to be a HUGE seller.

$75 ??? I wish. I bet that bolstered ZDP carbon fiber one goes for well over $100.
 
Y'know, I have the ukpk now, and It fits in my hand perfectly, and I was thinking how it's such a great knife, but the only 2 things that I would change is to add jimping to the choil, and make it in vg-10, but if they were unable to make these changes, I would still be very happy. But Lo! the calypso 3 has these changes! all is well.
 
Definitely a winner. I'm likely to buy each of the versions, but the G10/VG10 already has a special place in my heart.

I was talking about the G-10/VG-10 version for $75. I actually prefer this combo and I doubt I will pay extra for the Carbon Fiber version as I think VG-10 is a good steel for use and G-10 has never let me down.
