Just finished this one today guys, it's Aldo's 1084 satin finished with a fine scothbrite pad, Bocote scales with homemade brown paper micarta liners. Homemade mosaic pin in the center finished in Tru-oil and buffed the handle and blade with Renaissance wax. Sheath is hand stiched with a mink oil finish with a D ring and Belt snap. I dyed it saddle tan but it darkened up a lot because of the Mink oil cream. I had a lot of complications with this combination, mostly due to my lack of equipment but, also getting frustrated. Not my best work but it came out fair i believe. Took a picture of me wearing it for size reference, I'm 6'1 and 245 lbs and it rides comfortable. could really use some feedback on it. Sorry about the pictures, wife wants a new one and now i see why. Thanks Again!.

Nice one!
I like the bocote and the shape of the knife.
And the mosaic isn’t overkill as you see a lot (imho)

WH, that's a beautiful knife and sheath. I have a question for you, but not on open forum. Can you shoot me an email at medicevans@ gmail. Com?

That bocote is beautiful! I'll have to seriously consider using that sometime. The sheath is killer, too. I think the mosaic pin is good where it is — it's easy to get lost in wood that stunning, but I think the mosaic pin helps bring the knife as a whole back into focus.

Nice knife and leather work!

BTW I don't think you will fit in at my shop because you wear Dickies and your medicine cabinet is open. :D:p

David, I am truly crushed but i understand your high standards,:) Let me know if you're not going to be busy on labor day.
