I never know whether I should be posting this is the Gallery, Knifemakers forum or the Custom knife forum...

Here's one I just completed for a customer in the East. Its got a 5.5inch blade forged from 1/4inch 1084 bar (I usually use 3/16th inch thick bar) and has a simple hamon. 416SS guard stacked with Micarta and the handle is stabilised Buckeye Burl I got from Eugene Dimitirades of XyloAustralis. The thicker blade gives it a greater heft, but its distal tapered so the balance is on the index finger and feels decent in the hand. The tang is pretty chunky - its just under 1/2inch wide at the smallest point and goes through to the last 1/2inch on the handle. I don't think it will break... :D

Thanks for looking. Comments ? Jason.
