What are you guys bringing on your hunts this year?

A little CRKT 2-shot folder that's my favorite - well, my only - dedicated hunting knife. It's nothing fancy, but it's just just the right blade shape so when I index it with my finger, I feel like my finger is drawing the cut line.

I looked up the CRKT and it indeed does look like a nice folder with a nice belly! One site has it for around 100 bucks but I think it’s discontinued. This year I’m going kinda far of a hike for my tag, around 10 miles from the truck is where I expect deer. Therefore if I get a deer I’m just going to bring the head, skin and meat back.
Where do you hunt?

Congo rats on your new knife! Interesting design.

I was hunting at Kroger and Meijer the other day and had a SAK Explorer and Spyderco Endela on me. I scored some hamburger and pork loin. Does that count?

I don't hunt but I sharpen my friends knives and they throw me some venison and fish during the year in return. Works out well for me for sure.

I've been looking, but nothing is really taking my fancy (blasphemy I know), I'm very happy with my SOG SEAL Pup. Granted, I'm hunting Muntjac (about the size of a Labrador) at the moment, but for UK deer it is the perfect knife for me.

That is a pretty cool Blade! I have used a GEC 23 in autumn bone for the last 2 years on deer and hog. I was always obsessed with having the "best" most corrosive resistant steel available. I had just gotten into GEC a few years ago and never see anyone really using them. Tons of intentional patinas, but not too much real world use. When I used the 23 I was absolutely amazed. It performed just as well as some of my super steel knives. It is amazing to be honest. I almost posted a thread on the subject but thought it may be too graphic for some. I took several pictures the first time I used it. Second favorite is the ultimate hunter by cold steel.

'Hot stuff' hunting knife in the UK seems to currently be the Emberleaf Cael.
This is offered as a semi-custom, command's quite a high price but always seems to be regularly being sold 2nd hand (moved on), so I'm not sure it's 'all that'.
This is the Emberleaf Cael:

I think we have similar taste ‘cause I love GEC 23’s but all I have is single blades. Does the spey blade work well for skinning?

Also my first hunting knife was a Cold Steel Master Hunter in carbon.

I'm still using my 4 yr old ruike jager in 14c28n steel - wonderful all around for every fixed blade scenario I could throw at it
Just got one of those myself! I like 14C28N, and the Jager is a compact handful of knife without being too bulky. Deserves a better sheath!
But, for me, anything hunting or skinning is handled quite nicely by a White River Sendero Classic, and whatever folder I drag along....

I use the drop point to tag the deer, and for the initial incision. After that I use the Spey for the entire animal. I got two deer opening day. I skinned and quartered them both without any hiccup or feeling like the knife was getting dull. All I did was strop the knife afterwards. I am far from a stropping expert but it was back to hair popping sharp immediately. ( I put a 20' wicked edge on it before season). If you're going to use a 23 to process game I cannot recommend the 2 blade more. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 of them. One user. One is actually in the FS (micarta Woodland variant).

I really like the look of that knife. Seems like it's discontinued. Go figure.

If you mean the Sendero, it's not discontinued. At least, not according to the WRKT website, two minutes ago...
If you you mean the Jager, it was on their website yesterday! And Knife Center has them.

I was talking about the Sendero. Awesome man. I must have just clicked a couple images of discontinued models. Pretty sure I have to have one. (even though I typically end up using my folders)

Depends what and where I'm hunting. I carry a CPK EDC2 along with a White River M1 Backpacker and a Knives of Alaska Caper for Whitetail and smaller game. I have a couple others I carry in my pack as backups an Esee JG3 and another caper among them.
Pic from touching up a few last year.

I picked up a couple knives from makers here on the forums this year that will get some carry time this coming season also.

Great, another GEC to want! Luckily the 23 is a good pattern to be into, because they usually aren’t too pricy.
