Just got an email stating that they have a bid for their company and go to auction mid December, and will finalize (hopefully) by the end of December. They are also trying to work things out with the new mill as to when they will have more steel available. Good news as it provides us with options to have the service center in Texas continue as well as to have NSM, especially since it is still to be decided by NSM as to what their minimum will be for individual orders.
Edit: The company is SB Industries. According to the rep I spoke to the bidding company would like to continue the knife steel business, but it is dependent on Crucible Industries and NSM to allow that to continue. Not sure how NSM factors into this though (supplier or competitor).... I'll contact NSM and ask around but I'm sure NSM will post any changes or updates to their info thread as well. They really are a very nice people to talk to.
