That bears an unfortunate resemblance to Tom Krein's mascot: http://www.kreinknives.net/

i would say that there entirely different, given that they have the same theme animal. i did think of krein when i saw it the first time, so it does bear that much resemblence.

and for that matter i dont like either of them due to the cut off ears. only reason to ever do that is the same as a humans, if theres cancer or a bacterial infection that causes necrosis/unsavable tissue (or constant hemotoma's). if you do it for fighting, thats an entirely new level of why i dont like it.

on many breeds it is standard practice to clip the Ears, and tails as well- It is for the look of the breed.

I have never seen a single Doberman without the ear and tail treatment. . . so are you saying all Dobermans are used for dog fighting? I could probably name off a dozen breeds that have their ears clipped as puppies.

I really think you are reading far too much into the picture.

Are these fighting dogs?

all the more reason for me to hate them for doing it. i dont like any forced body modification on anything - ever.

with pits, the general reason my freinds who i have known give for clipping the ears is "if it gets into a fight". my freinds generally arent purveyors of anything, so the general look of the breed (akc standards) isnt normally on their mind when they do it.

it basically comes down to that. every time i see a picture of any animal with a part of its body cut off thats not for a medical reason (or rather, caused by a medical reason - im extremely weary of "pre-emptive" surgeries as well when it concernes whole body parts), and done by a human, it brings up a lot of bad things in me.

So you must be against spaying and neutering animals? Human circumcision?

If you don't like how they trim tails and ears on different breeds, fine by me.
But it does not imply the animal is being used as a fighting dog.

no it doesnt. im against spaying and neutering if you can avoid it, but it is some times unavoidable. if your dog is free roaming in a neighborhood that has a high level of strays, you can end up putting an animal that is domesticated and unable to (in many ways) fend for itself outside of a home on the street. i am completely against human circumsision (until age 18, then its your choice). if its illegal to do to girls (it is), it should be illegal for boys.

this should all be in the community center, and i appologize for bringing it up here.

Well, That is your feelings on the issue. I don't have anything against your opinion.

I like the dog the way I made it. If Pit bulls did not normally have the cropped ears, then I would have made them big and floppy.

Not saying it is right or wrong; it is just a moot point, as that is the way they traditionally are done.
