Not having gone into the handle design I can assure you that it is as different as the "Venetian Blade"!!!! Familiar with the concept behind "Air Jordans" ???? . . . . Let me just say this, "Pump up the jams pump the handle make it fit your hand"!!!

More later!
:D LOL!

Wait a minute! An expandible blade (like a baton)? With inflatable scales? Does it have wings, so I can make it fly? I can't wait for that!!!!

Ok, forget the wings (that was just a dream I had). But, if Jerry is serious, I actually am starting to figure out how "The Great Little Turtle" could work! I'm a believer! I see the light!

Yes, instead of following previous folder designs, Jerry has made this model's blade out of hollow, telescoping and tilting INFI, along with a handle that can be used as a personal flotation device in the unlikely event of a water landing.

;) :p

....the "extension" concept just doesn't sound plausible in my book along with the fact that venetion blinds "rotate" when they open. I'm with Danbo in thinking we've been fed disinformation.

There are a lot of really cool folders out there. Sebenzas, Striders, Microtechs, Benchmades, Spydercos, etc. . . . .

That's what's taking us sooooo long. If we wanted to simply "cash in" and make another "also ran" we could have introduced a liner lock 15 years ago. We are trying to come out with something that is completely different than anything else on the market right now.

For example, Nearly every folder on the market has a blade that operates on a pivot. Ours has what we refer to as a "venetian blade". Much like a venetian blind our blade is sectioned out and literally opens and closes in much the same way. This revolutionary design allows you to either fully engage the blade, thus giving you a traditional straight cutting edge, or you can choose to extend it only part-way and have a shorter, fully serrated blade. This unique feature also allows you to control the length of the blade depending upon either state regulations or intended use.

The blade can NEVER fold on your fingers because it doesn't pivot!!!

Revolutionary? Insane? You be the judge!!

Jerry ;)

Huh? I think my mind just imploded! I think you are just screwing with us Jerry!

Larry,

You are very wise my friend, but please note that venetian blinds don't rotate IF they are in the closed position!!! That's part of the secret!!!

Now, on to more hints about this knife's performance.

Seeing how this blade is being built on a tactical, self-defense platform, imagine, if you will, the three most forward "fletchettes" of the blade being designed to detach from the main body of the blade upon heavy impact! This feature is designed to leave the three most rontal "fletchettes" lodged in the intended target. Likewise, each of the frontal three has been carefully designed to follow a different ballistic path!!! The wound can no longer be classified as a "puncture" because it is unsealable!!! As long as it is anywhere in the torso, the wound will most certainly prove to be lethal!

More about the inflatable handle later. . . . Wait until you see what it is filled with!!!

Hmmmm, I'm thinking a manual OTF blade. No pivot, and the blade can lock incrementally as it's pushed out. With the base of the blade riding on 'rails,' the folder does not need to be built with the traditional two handle slabs but could incorporate single-piece collars that would make it very strong indeed. I dunno how the "venetian" thing comes into play, though  .

Awwww, I think I can get one just like that from a Home Shopping Network infomercial. Tell us what's really unique about this knife, Jerry!:p ;) :D

It slices! It dices! It will even warm your milk before bed!

Maybe this thing should be called the Black Asp. It sounds like a deadly snake with an INFI tongue and ripper fangs!

Whoa!

Just because something is "outside of the box" is no reason to doubt its validity.

Progunner,

No more INFI for you for 1 Year!!!!

Picture the Venetian Folder Grasshopper. . . . become one with it and all will be forgiven!!!
