Hmmmm, good subject, this is. Most of my comic strip reading is done in the compiled book form down at Barnes and Noble. As such, I find it fun to read Garfield (he's grabbed my funny bone, once again) and Zits. I find both those strips funnier when read consecutively, rather than day-to-day. Foxtrot was great for a while, many years ago, but then Bill Amend started recycling the jokes far too often... the latest compilation books, though, have been decent.
One strip that I appreciate more the older I get is Peanuts/Charlie Brown. I've been reading the compilation books of his '50's strips and, while some jokes are obvious, others are so sublimely hilarious that I can't help but laugh out loud!
