Hi Guys
In the thread about Newt posted several days ago I complained loudly about his lack of service and fictional explanations for non-delivery. I had written my money off to experience, when today I recieved a "shipping confirmation" from Newt. My knives and sheath are on thier way( I hope). So I have to alter my stance a little, but it has taken nearly 2.5 months to send items he had in stock, followed by pure fiction regarding dispatch problems. I would still advise caution when dealing with Newt, which is a shame as he comes across as a nice guy and his knives are very innovative and well made.
Will post again when the parcel arrives, could be 8-14 days.

cant tell you how many times my order has been on its way, but shippinf comfimation looks good!....Supposvielyhe is going to be getting orders out at months end. Mines cancelled. Cant do business like that and cant support it.
Backed him and wated way to much time loandr.
 
i really hope newt gets his act together, he makes great stuff for the $$(i have a woo,uji), but, like i have said in the past, there are wayyy to many dead honest makers out there, who make equally good stuff for the $$, to waist time/$$ on anyone with "problems" delivering the product, plain and simple, so i really hope he gets it together, but untill he gets caught up, i wouldnt reccomend him to anyone.

I don't have any problems with him being behind in his production. Hell, I've been waiting going on 2 years plus for 2 other makers.

Its the lying about shipping, false promises and sudden drops in communications that makes him an extremely poor business man. Then, he declares his integrity; give me a break.

Even if he catches up (which I doubt he ever will), I would not buy from him. YMMV.

I also posted in a thread on KF and recieved a personal reply from Newt. My screen name there is fullplate and the thread is in the Cane Stick and Knife section.
I'm leaving it there until I recieve, or not, my goods. I will then post again.

A parcel appeared in the mail box yesterday, Newt finally delivered!!!!!. Needless to say I was amazed. All items were present so apart from the excessive delays and misinformation regarding delivery I am a happy camper.

go to his site and see what the guys that have stood by his side have to say. :-(. Glade you got your gear man, for the $$$ his products is great BUT we all know about the business end.

Hey, go to the site and see how Newt responds to guys he has not talked with properly in several months or years. NO ONE WHO IS NOT GIVING HIM MONEY CAN SEE ANY OF THIS UNFOLD AND HE POSTED HE WILL DELETE ANY NEGATIVE PRESS THERE.

I used to be a fan of his work as well as a supporter of his. At this point I have seen such a load of scat coming off the whole deal that I really do not care if he ever sends me the knife I sent him in trade, or the knife he was supposed to send me.
 
you are corrrect none of the issues he promised to address have been addressed for those members. I Cancelled my order several times and he sent it anyway(this week)????? it is incorrect of course, zipper and the NRG are niece work BUT NO grey ghost as ordered and 2 impact type devises I have NO need for were sent instead. At this time I guess i should be glad with what i got ????? :-)

***Just the facts of my expierences. I have learned one thing though I WILL never allow a maker to disrespect me this way again,ever! and lack of production or production time frames IS NOT being disrespected... its the way it was and is being handled that is. End of Livesay SAGA for its on to new maker with a smile :-) I will be returning my order to newt and contacting my CC co. accordingly at this point. I guess its MY LOSS :-(
I dont think newt has LOCKED the forum down Im sure if you contact him he will give you a password for access BUT contact him directly please. I will also mention i dont think newt is outright dishonest I just think business wise things just got that FUBARED? Oh well.
