Newt Livesay's web site down?

Anyone know what happened to Newt's Website? It seems to have been turned off by Tripod's new owners, Lycos. Ezboard still has his forums going. Any news?

Dunno, but the sandbar bowie page was alright when I was surfing there Thursday.

He's overdue for his own domain name / website anyway. That doesn't cost much these days. The ezboard forums work fine, IMO, so I'd suggest he keep that as is.
 
It was down around five or six this morning when I tried to get in.

I was having trouble getting on until I realized that the page was loading behind the splash screen from lycos that came up.
Heres how I got on :Go to his website.Lycos screen comes up -wait for his site to finish loading under the lycos screen.Hit back on your browser.Enter his site.Repeat above steps and you are in.Someone else try this and let us know if it works for them.

i think newt and teh whole crew are on vacation this week,maybe next,im not sure.
i remember reading somewhere that they need a long overdue break,especially after the air compressor blew up.
he did say,however that he has some new stuff on the way,maybe even a livesay balisong

I posted a question on Newt's forum but I suspect Hank's speculation that Lycos may have turned off the site could be right. Here's an excerpt from their Ts & Cs:

"You agree that you will not use Lycos Network Products and Services to:
...Advertise, offer for sale, or sell any of the following items:
* Any firearms, explosives, or weapons...
* Any dangerous items..."
