Next Champlin pattern in development?

Can you quantify that a little more?

Are we talking tangible differences? The reclaimed Rosewood would be a clear example of a tangible difference that one would expect to add to the cost/value, but I am wondering if they are built better somehow, and if they are how?
Matchstrike pulls, and a custom etching shouldn't really add much in actual cost.

I like what they are doing, and the sales prove the concept, but a 50% (or more) premium over what APPEAR to be basically the same knives in the Northfield trim is a pretty healthy premium for a private label product.

The handle materials appear to be better than standard fare. Have you seen the stag examples? Really top notch. They appear to be a premium over the standard GEC material at least in this instance. Then of course the historic rosewood. Blade grind I think is a tad different. Also, the stampings are collectible as well.

OK, thanks.
They certainly do look good.

I just got my name down for a single Rosewood knife. It seems that they are not solely selling sets this time around. I personally don't have an issue with placing a order with JBF sight unseen. Their previous releases do speak for themselves.

Also my knife came with the knife pick with the recovered rosewood handle. The etch on the blade is more of a carving into the steel, very deep and will not wipe off with polish or Flitz or something like that. The Stag on mine is mild compared to the other knarly stuff that went on these knives!

While generally not a fan of etches, the Champlins are very nice and accentuate the whole package. Kind of reminds me of the NYK blade etches of old. I just love cleaning up an old one and finding some of the etch still in place.
